About the opportunity
Our hiring partner, a health-tech scale-up company in Austin, is adding a Machine Learning Engineer to a product team that ships every two weeks. What you will do
- Build and evaluate LLM and ML features end to end
- Design retrieval, prompting and evaluation pipelines
- Ship APIs and services that expose models to products
- Monitor model quality and cost in production
What we are looking for
- Ownership of outcomes, not just tickets
- Clear written and spoken communication
- Experience working with product and business teams
- A portfolio or repository that shows your work
Skills and experience required
- 3+ years training and deploying ML models
- PyTorch or TensorFlow; feature stores and model registries
- MLOps on SageMaker or Vertex AI
- Experiment tracking and A/B evaluation
- Healthcare data (HIPAA) experience is a plus
