Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Requirements

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of security systems that protect critical financial infrastructure. This role involves securing networks, applications, and cloud environments against evolving cyber threats.

You will be responsible for assessing existing security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing improvements. You will work with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint security tools, and encryption mechanisms.

A key part of your role will involve monitoring security alerts, analyzing incidents, and responding to potential breaches. You will also lead incident response efforts, ensuring that threats are contained and systems are restored quickly.

You will collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle. This includes performing code reviews, conducting security testing, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

To succeed, you must have strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity frameworks. Experience with SIEM tools, cloud security, and threat intelligence is required.

Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly valuable. You should also have experience working in high-security environments such as banking or finance.

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.
